Rita Byrnes Kittle, Esq., is the Supervisory Trial Attorney at the Denver Field Office of the EEOC. Ms. Kittle is counsel for the EEOC in lawsuits filed by the Commission to enforce the statutes it is charged with enforcing: Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Equal Pay Act, Genetic Information Non-Discriminat Act. Before joining the EEOC in 1999, Ms. Kittle was in private practice in the Denver area for 11 years, specializing in employment and labor law. At the EEOC, Ms. Kittle has focused primarily on cases involving systemic discrimination and disability discrimination. Ms. Kittle received her Bachelor of Arts in Labor Studies from Antioch University in 1983, through the AFL-CIO George Meany Center for Labor Studies, College Degree Program. Ms Kittle received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver School of Law in 1988. She received the Howard Jenkins Award of Excellence in the field of Labor Law. Ms. Kittle is admitted to practice in Colorado and Nebraska, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
