Kent Holsinger is the managing partner of Holsinger Law, LLC. The firm specializes in lands, wildlife, and water law. Mr. Holsinger’s efforts on endangered species issues have been recognized in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Times, New York Times, and on National Public Radio. Mr. Holsinger has helped draft legislation and has testified before Congress and the Colorado General Assembly many times on these issues.
 
During his tenure in the public sector, Mr. Holsinger served as Colorado’s lead water negotiator for the Platte River Cooperative Agreement and worked closely with the Upper Colorado River and San Juan River Recovery Programs. He also helped coordinate efforts to create habitat conservation plans on Colorado’s Front Range and has represented clients in complex ESA and NEPA permitting and litigation in several states.
 
Mr. Holsinger previously served as the assistant director for water at the Colorado Department of Natural Resources and worked in Washington, D.C. for U.S. Senator Wayne Allard and Congressman Bob Schaffer.
 
Mr. Holsinger was the People’s Choice for Best Water Lawyer in Colorado in 2020 by Law Week. He has also been named to Who’s Who in Energy and Who’s Who in Agriculture by the Denver Business Journal and Colorado Farm Bureau. Kent serves on the Colorado Aeronautical Board and is Secretary to the Board of Western Energy Alliance. He was a “Rising Star” in Super Lawyers in 2012 and served as past-president of the Colorado Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society and vice-chair to Colorado’s Conservation Easement Oversight Commission. In 2019, Kent broke a world speed record in type and class for the fastest flight between North America’s highest airport (Leadville, Colo.) and its lowest (Death Valley, Calif.).
