Cynthia A. Savage
Cynthia A. Savage, Esq., has been involved in the field of conflict resolution for over 30 years as a lawyer, mediator, mediation trainer, dispute resolution program administrator, dispute resolution program quality consultant, clinical law professor, practitioner-in-residence, adjunct professor, conflict coach, and hearing officer. As past Director of the Colorado Judicial Office of Dispute Resolution (ODR), Cynthia designed, implemented, administered, and evaluated dispute resolution (DR) programs (served by ODR and private DR professionals), contracted with ODR mediators and DR professionals, and advised statewide on DR policy. Cynthia helped establish and taught in law school clinical ADR programs at the Universities of Denver (“DU”) and New Mexico. Cynthia is currently a trainer coach for conflict coaching trainings offered by Common Ground Mediation and Coaching, co-teaching the mediation practicum course which she was instrumental in designing at the University of Denver Conflict Resolution Institute (DU CRI) graduate program, and consulting as needed on court ADR program quality through the National Center for State Courts. Cynthia has extensive teaching and presenting experience nationally and internationally, and has published numerous articles on ADR issues. She is on the DU CRI Advisory Board and has been active with the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution. She is past co-chair of the Colorado Bar Association DR Section's ADR Excellence Committee. She is a graduate of the Harvard Law School and the University of Michigan.
