Michael (Mick) T. Mihm, Esq., has served as the managing editor of Lawyers' Professional Liability since 2005. In addition to his duties as managing editor, Michael has authored or co-authored six chapters and edited numerous other chapters. Michael is co-founder of Ogborn Mihm, LLP, where his trial practice focuses on representing clients in plaintiff-side legal malpractice litigation and commercial and business tort litigation. He is included in The Best Lawyers in America® in the field of Legal Malpractice Law-Plaintiffs, for which he was named the 2015 Denver “Lawyer of the Year.” He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Michael served two terms on the Board of Directors of CLE in Colorado, Inc., and served as president of the Board for 2013-2014. Michael has also held leadership positions within the CBA, including chairing the Lawyers' Professional Liability Committee (1997 to 1999), chairing the CBA's annual Preventing Legal Malpractice Seminars (1996 and 2006), and authoring much of the original Colorado Attorney's Professional Liability Handbook (CLE in Colo., Inc. 1999), the predecessor book to Lawyers' Professional Liability in Colorado. Michael frequently speaks to lawyers on the topics of trial practice and malpractice prevention. Michael is the immediate past president of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. He is active in the International Society of Primerus Law Firms, a society of nearly 200 boutique law firms located in 135 cities around the world, of which Ogborn Mihm, LLP is a member. Michael is admitted to practice in California and in Colorado. He represents clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States.
