David N. Simmons has practiced immigration law since 1986 in Denver, Colorado, after obtaining his JD from the University of Denver.  He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, teaching Immigration Law in Spanish as part of the Spanish in the Law program. He was the President of the American Immigration Lawyers Association's Colorado Chapter in 1996-1997. Mr. Simmons is currently the Chapter's Pro-Bono⁄Rapid Response Committee Chair. He is active in pro-bono work and in community education efforts, and appears regularly on both English and Spanish media. Mr. Simmons has spoken and written on several immigration-related subjects, and has presented Continuing Legal Education seminars to local, state and national audiences.
