Delores “Dee” Dafoe, Esq., is the lead attorney at MSP Solutions, a division of Ritsema Law, LLC. Ms. Dafoe joined Ritsema & Lyon, P.C. as a nurse in 2005 working in the Medicare Set-Aside area preparing cost projections. She moved into position of associate attorney in 2007 and was named Of Counsel in 2014. Prior to joining Ritsema & Lyon, Ms. Dafoe worked as a perioperative nurse in the main operating room of Swedish Medical Center, a Level I trauma center in Denver. Ms. Dafoe received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan in 1975 and a J.D. from the University of Denver in 1985, the same year she was admitted to the Colorado Bar. She took time off to raise her two children during which time she was involved in and served on the boards of many community, school, music, and church organizations and returned full time to the working world when her oldest left for college in 2002. Ms. Dafoe continues to be active in her community choir, Law Club, playing organ, swimming, and tennis playing, as well as devoting her best efforts and the majority of her time to assisting clients in navigating the ever evolving Medicare and Medicaid arena while assuring compliance with the federal Medicare Secondary Payer statute.
