Paul H. Chan

Paul H. Chan, Esq., is the Vice Chancellor for Legal Affairs and General Counsel for the University of Denver, where he is responsible for managing all aspects of the University's legal affairs. Prior to joining DU, he was a member of the Colorado Attorney General's staff, where he represented the Colorado Civil Rights Division, Department of Labor and Employment, and Department of Personnel, before ultimately serving as the office's managing attorney. Paul served as the President of the Colorado Bar Association in 2011, and he is a past president of the Denver Bar Association, the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and the Colorado Asian Pacific American Bar Association. Paul has served on commissions and advisory boards for the Colorado Supreme Court, the Governor of Colorado, the Mayor of Denver, and Denver Public Schools, and he currently is a trustee of the Boettcher Foundation. Paul graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in English Literature and Secondary Education. He earned his law degree at the University of California, Berkeley.
