Kevin F. Amatuzio, Esq., is a Partner at Montgomery Amatuzio Chase Bell Jones LLP. He graduated from Littleton High School in 1976 and the University of Denver in 1980 with bachelor of arts double majors in public affairs and political science. He is a 1983 graduate of the University of Denver College of Law. Mr. Amatuzio's practice focuses in areas of insurance coverage and bad faith, inter-carrier disputes, subrogation, construction coverage and defense, products liability, contribution and declaratory judgment actions. He is admitted to practice in Colorado state courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Amatuzio handles and litigates insurance matters in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Utah, and various other states. He is a recognized expert in insurance claims handling standards of care and consults in such matters. Kevin is State and Regional Chair of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys (“ADTA”), a member of the Defense Research Institute (“DRI”) and Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (“FDCC”), and is a past President of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association (“CDLA”). Mr. Amatuzio has instructed on insurance related matters to the CDLA, construction and insurance industry groups, and in various CLE seminars. He has also authored several amicus curiae briefs on behalf of the CDLA and insurance carrier associations on insurance and litigation issues. Kevin is a peer-accredited “Superlawyer” in insurance, a peer-acknowledged “Best Lawyer,” and holds an “AV” rating from Martindale.
