Mark E. Parcheta

Mark Edward Parcheta was formerly a senior attorney on the Employment Law Services staff of Employers Council and manager of Employers Council's Employment Law Training where he trained, advised, and represented employers on numerous issues affecting the employer-employee relationship. One of his areas of specialties is unemployment insurance.
 
Mr. Parcheta has been involved in unemployment insurance matters for over 30 years. In 1986, he was a hearing officer for the Colorado Department of Labor, Division of Employment and Training handling unemployment appeal hearings. He continues to work closely with the Division of Employment Training on unemployment matters and was recently part of the task force to address the solvency issues facing Colorado's unemployment trust fund. He has been the appellate division manager for a third-party administrator for unemployment matters, Employers Unity, where he represented employers and assisted them in controlling their unemployment costs.
 
In his former role at MSEC, Mr. Parcheta advised and represented employers at all levels of the unemployment process. He also conducted training for human resources professionals on unemployment insurance and developed an unemployment hearing workshop so that employers could better represent their interests at appeal hearings.
 
He received his Bachelor of Science in business administration, cum laude, from the University of Denver in 1981. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver in 1984. He has been admitted to practice law in Colorado since 1984 and joined the staff of Mountain States Employers Council in 1988 and recently left to pursue other opportunities.
