Donald Ostrander, Esq. has been in practice since 1982. He maintains a real estate litigation practice, with a focus on condemnation trials, inverse condemnation, urban renewal projects, regulatory takings, and trespass actions. Current and past clients include the E-470 Public Highway Authority, City of Boulder, Weld County, City of Aurora, City of Arvada, Summit County, Douglas County, Sheridan Redevelopment Authority, City of Golden, Aurora Urban Renewal Authority, Colorado Department of Transportation, Regional Transportation District, and numerous private landowners.
 
Mr. Ostrander began his practice with the State of Colorado's Attorney General's office (1982-1985) in the licensing section, during which time he represented the Colorado Real Estate Commission and the State Board of Architects and Engineers. He subsequently represented the Colorado Department of Highways. He has been in private practice since 1985. He has lectured and written extensively on eminent domain, trial practice, inverse condemnation cases, and valuation issues. To date he has tried over 100 condemnation valuation cases.
 
Mr. Ostrander served as President of the Aurora Bar Association and served on the Board of Governors of the Colorado Bar Association. His educational background includes a B.A. from Rutgers College in 1979 and a J.D. from the University of Denver in 1982. He served a judicial clerkship with Judge Daniel Sparr of the Denver District Court in 1982. Mr. Ostrander was selected as a Colorado Super Lawyer and has been selected by his peers as one of The Best Lawyers in America® in the specialty of eminent domain and condemnation law.
