David Dennis, CPA, is founder of Dennis & Company, a CPA firm located in Denver, Colorado. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and a Masters of Business Administration, with an emphasis in management, both from the University of Southern California. Mr. Dennis has been licensed to practice as a CPA in Colorado since 1977, number 4292. Mr. Dennis has been employed in the field of public accounting continuously since 1972, when he was licensed in California. During this time, Mr. Dennis has provided professional services to clients in the areas of tax, accounting and management consulting services. Within the consulting arena, Mr. Dennis has been retained as either an expert witness or consultant in over 50 litigations. Some of these assignments were heard by the U S bankruptcy Court, mainly dealing with issues of accounting, valuation, insolvency and preferential/fraudulent transfers. He has also been appointed as administrator in liquidating Chapter 11 estates and has been a Special Master in state court and bankruptcy court. Mr. Dennis has been hired in over 500 bankruptcy estates, to provide assistance to attorneys and Trustees in various matters, including income tax preparation and compliance, tax reports for pre and post petition payroll claims, resolving disputes involving tax claims and investigating the disposition of assets.
