Robert Cooper, Esq., has been a lawyer for over 30 years.  He received his law degree from the University of Denver in 1983 and received a Master of Counseling from Regis University in 2010.  He was a real estate and business litigator the first part of his legal career and has practiced family law exclusively for almost 20 years. In 1988, he started what is now known as Cooper & Tanis, P.C. He has been very active in the Boulder County Bar Association, was on the board of directors for many years and was the President of the boulder County Bar Association from 1998 until 1999.  Mr. Cooper believes that most family law disputes involve emotional issues, not legal issues.  He takes a common sense approach to resolving these issues and uses compassion, empathy and humor in his practice.
