Kathryn Beck, Esq., graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado in 1979, then attended the University of Denver College of Law, graduating in 1982.  She began her interest in child advocacy when clerking for the Presiding Judge of the Denver Juvenile Court.  Kathryn has been in private practice with the firm of Beck, Jonson & Nolan, PC, since 1986.  As part of her domestic relations practice, Kathryn has served as Child and Family Investigator, Child's Legal Representative, or Guardian ad Litem for children in a variety of family law related matters.  Kathryn has also served extensively as Mediator, Mediator/Arbitrator, Decision Maker and Parenting Coordinator. Kathryn has been selected one of Colorado's Super Lawyers on an annual basis since 2007. Kathryn served as President of the First Judicial District Bar Association, as well as serving on several Bar Association committees.  She was Chairman of the Juvenile Review Board, and served on the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Denver Interdisciplinary Committee on Child Custody.  She was a member of the Guardian ad Litem Standards Committee, the Special Advocate Standards Committee, the National Association of Counsel for Children, the Jefferson County Placement Alternatives Commission.  She was also a member of the Task Force for the Jefferson County Child Advocacy Center and was on the Steering Committee of C.A.S.A. of Jefferson and Gilpin counties, as well as a member of the CBA's Family Court Task Force.  Kathryn was a longstanding member of the CBA's Family Law Section Executive Council and served as Chair of the Section.
