George G. Matava
George Matava focuses his practice in the areas of Intellectual Property, Intellectual Property Litigation, Copyrights, Patents, Trade Secrets, Trademarks, Business Litigation and Antitrust. He has handled numerous high-stakes matters in federal courts across the country in the areas of patent, trademark, copyright, e-commerce, trade secret and related contract and antitrust-related claims; and in the fields of automotive products, biomedical devices, computer hardware and software, cable and satellite television, biodegradable plastics, brewing, real estate franchising, telecommunications, and consumer products. In particular, he has represented many of the major corporations in Colorado on trademark litigation matters throughout the country. He has also lectured on trademark, patent and antitrust issues for the Colorado Bar Association and International Trademark Association. In 2010 and 2011, George was the founding chairperson and president of the Colorado IP American Inn of Court and was previously chairperson of the IP section of the Colorado Bar Association. George has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, and was ranked in Colorado by Chambers USA for intellectual property law and litigation.
