Laura Wing, Esq., is currently Assistant General Counsel at Xcel Energy. Laura received her undergraduate degree from the University of Denver and her JD from the University of Michigan. She practiced at Rothgerber, Appel Powers and Johnson for 13 years, focusing in the areas of litigation, labor and employment law. Her clients ranged in size from sole proprietorships to Fortune 500 companies. She tried numerous cases, both to juries and judges, as well as providing advice and counsel on all aspects of employment and labor issues. It was 1997 when she moved to the in-house legal department of what is now Xcel Energy. Xcel Energy currently has approximately 12,000 employees, approximately one-half of whom are unionized. Laura's practice there has continued to center on the areas of litigation, labor and employment law.
