Marla L. Lien
Marla Lien, Esq., is General Counsel of the Regional Transportation District in Denver Colorado. RTD serves the eight county Denver Metropolitan area with bus and light rail service. After graduating from the University of Colorado and the University of Colorado School of Law, Marla clerked for a Denver District Court judge and then worked for White and Steele, P.C. and Cooper and Kelley P.C. before going to work for RTD as an Associate General Counsel in 1990. As Associate Counsel she worked on development of 3 light rail lines including the Southwest Corridor, The Central Corridor and the recently opened TREX project. She also assisted in the acquisition of Denver Union Station. In 2005 Marla became General Counsel and has since been working primarily on development of the FasTracks program including property acquisition, railroad negotiations, and Denver Union Station redevelopment and RTD Penta-P Project, the East and Gold Lines a/k/a “Eagle P-3”.
