Susan R Harris & Assoc LLC
Susan (Suzy) R. Harris, Esq., is a Denver native. She practiced probate, trusts & estates and estate planning law for over 40 years. Beginning in 2023, Suzy's practice transitioned from a client based practice to a semi-retirement consultation and advising practice, under Susan R. Harris Fiduciary Consulting, LLC. Suzy consults with and advises attorneys, CPAs, conservators and guardians, financial advisors, and professional fiduciaries in the areas of estate and trust administration, fiduciary duties, obligations and responsibilities to beneficiaries, probate law and probate court proceedings, related tax matters, and the intricate (and sometimes mysterious) Colorado Uniform Probate Code, as well as related law and rules pertaining to estates, trusts, and nonprobate assets. Suzy received her BA (summa cum laude) and JD from the University of Denver. She has been a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel since 1994 and has been an adjunct trusts and estates lecturer at law at the University of Denver College of Law. Suzy has authored numerous articles and studies and has taught continuing education classes on various trusts and estates topics. She also has taught probate and wills at Community College of Aurora in the paralegal studies program. Suzy enjoys hiking and Jeeping in the high country throughout Colorado (especially when columbines and other wildflowers are blooming), travel anywhere, museums, antiques, nonpartisan historical Presidential trivia, lunch and dinner with family, friends and colleagues, Wordle, funny typos, good and bad puns, and shopping. In any random order.
