J. William “Bill” Callison, Esq., is a partner in the Denver office of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP where his practice emphasizes business law, tax law, real estate law, and affordable housing and community development finance. After graduating from Oberlin College in 1977, Bill received his law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1982 and an LL.M. degree from Yale Law School in 2000. Bill has written two national treatises -- Limited Liability Companies and Partnership Law and Practice. He has also written numerous articles concerning alternative business entity law. Bill has taught law at the University of Colorado School of Law, the University of Kentucky College of Law, the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, and the University of Denver College of Law, and he is a visiting professor at Tilburg University Law School in The Netherlands where he occasionally lectures in the international business law LL.M. program. Recently, he has served as a delegate and expert advisor to a United Nations Commission on International Trade Law working group that is drafting model business organization laws for micro-, small-, and medium-sized entities (MSMEs) in developing countries.  He serves frequently as an expert witness concerning corporate governance and unincorporated business organization matters.
