The Practitioner's Guide to Colorado Business Organizations, 2012 Supplement
The Guide begins with basic topics that a Colorado practitioner should consider in the choice-of-entity process. The book then presents detailed discussions of the numerous types of Colorado entities. Finally, chapters from authors from a wide range of practice areas and expertise address the various aspects of their practice areas that relate to Colorado business organizations.
This 2012 supplement to The Practitioner's Guide to Colorado Business Organizations includes substantive updates to 21 of the 34 chapters currently in the book. Some of these updates are significant including updates necessitated by Federal regulations and statutes, and Secretary of State filing and website changes The exhibits to many of these chapters contain sample forms, documents, and charts that the authors also have updated as necessary.
Specific Chapter updates include:
  • Business Succession: Added discussion of Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Authorization, and the Job Creation Act of 2010
  • Cooperatives: Has a new section on tax issues

    ABOUT THE SUPPLEMENT
The Practitioner's Guide to Colorado Business Organizations is generally updated annually. If you are updating a book that has a date of 2010 on the front cover sheet, you need the 2011 (revised) supplement in addition to this 2012 supplement. If your book has a date prior to 2010 you need to purchase a new book, which includes the 2012 supplement. If the front cover sheet has a date of 2011, you just need the 2012 supplement to update your book.
