Mr. Koupal will cover the 2010 enactment of C.R.S. § 10-1-135, as well as the procedural process that is now in place for resolving subrogation claims in Colorado. While the focus of the program will be on resolving subrogation claims in the context of personal injury cases, the statute and lessons from this program are applicable to all types of subrogation claims. This is a relatively new statute with many procedural requirements and deadlines. Mr. Koupal will discuss practical problems to watch out for, as well as issues that are not addressed by the statute.
