Program Description:

Science and technology play a major and increasingly important role in criminal cases. While the National Academy of Sciences report launched a wave of challenges to the forensic process, forensic analysis of evidence remains at the core of many criminal cases. This program teaches you the processes and technology involved in crime scene investigation and computer forensics. Our faculty of experienced forensic experts and criminal counsel will teach you the scientific principles involved with DNA and its use in the Courtroom; crime scene reconstruction, investigation and processing; computer forensics and related ethical issues; forensic pathology and the interpretation of autopsy reports; and what you should know when handling cases involving sexual exploitation of children and computer porn. Whether you are a new lawyer or a seasoned practitioner, come sharpen your skills and master these important forensic tools.
