Bill J. Fyfe, Ed.D, is a Colorado licensed psychologist (782). Dr. Fyfe established his Colorado private practice in July 1983. He specializes in high conflict relationship problems (couples and/or family) and Parental Responsibility Evaluations (PRE). Dr. Fyfe has provided PRE, CFI, Parenting Coordination, and other divorce related services for over 1,500 families. He consults with attorneys and parents on how to resolve high conflict divorce disputes. Dr. Fyfe has testified numerous times across the state in divorce cases. He has presented nationally and locally on a variety of topics including research on divorce adjustment, parental alienation, adolescent development, reunification therapy, relocation, and brain development in children. Dr. Fyfe served on the Colorado Supreme Court Standing Committee on Family Issues (SCFI) for nine years (2008-2017). He has served on the Family Law Institute (FLI) Planning Committee and presented at the Family Law Institute multiple times. Dr. Fyfe co-chaired of the 2017 Colorado Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) Fall Conference. Dr. Fyfe earned his doctorate in psychology from the University of Northern Colorado in 1978. He was an assistant professor at New Mexico State University and maintained a private practice in Las Cruces, New Mexico from 1979 through 1982. Prior positions include: Outreach Coordinator, Horizon House Psychiatric Center, Drug Rehabilitation Program, Philadelphia, PA, 1972-1976, and Assistant Director of Services, Operation Concern, Teenage Consultation Center, 1970-1972. Dr. Fyfe has been a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) since 1983. He is long term member of AFCC, CO AFCC, and the Metropolitan Denver Interdisciplinary Committee on Child Custody (MDIC).
