Randall C. Arp

Honorable Randall Arp is a 1979 graduate of Moorhead State University (n.k.a. Minnesota State University Moorhead) with a B.A. in Political Science and Speech Communication.  Judge Arp obtained his J.D. from the University Of Colorado School Of Law in 1982.  Judge Arp started clerking for the Adams County firm of Bettenberg, Stipech, Miller, Makkai and Dowdle in 1980 and continued with the firm as an associate and partner until 1996.  In 1996 Judge Arp joined the Jefferson County firm of Myers Bradley & Devitt, P.C. (later Bradley Devitt & Arp, P.C.) where he practiced until 2006.  His practice with Bradley Devitt & Arp, P.C. concentrated primarily in the areas of family law, criminal law and bankruptcy.  On June 30, 2006, Judge Arp was appointed to the District Court bench by then Governor Bill Owens.  In July 2008, Judge Arp became the Presiding Family Law Judge for Jefferson County.  On April 1, 2010 Judge Arp rotated back to a diversified docket in Division 9 where he hears criminal, civil and domestic cases.
