Program Description:
In today's environment, legal researchers need to learn about the online resources and research techniques to successfully perform legal research. In this CLE, Professor Linz will examine various online resources that paralegals can use to research Colorado law. He will also help you search public records to locate information about people, companies, and assets. You will learn how to use the resources and services of local law libraries to obtain materials that require a subscription to access. Finally, Professor Linz will give some research techniques for cost effective legal research.

Faculty:
Robert Linz was appointed the Associate Director and Head of Public Services on December 1, 2008. In this role, he manages the reference and circulation functions of the law library, provide reference service, teach legal research and develop ways to improve library services with technology. Prior to this appointment, Professor Linz served as the Deputy Law Librarian at the Colorado Supreme Court and worked in a number of other academic law libraries in a variety of librarian, technology and management roles. He is involved in the Colorado Association of Law Libraries as committee member and as the organization's treasurer. He interests include photography, hiking and reading.
